So, there are a few projects from the 5th week of the year. We were in the middle of getting ready to head to Minnesota for my great grandpa’s funeral, so not a lot got done. And what did get done, was mostly in preparation for our weekend away. So, here it is:
I’m a little embarrassed to be posting this picture of my nasty microwave, but it must be done. Wait until you see the after picture!
Ta-Da!! Hot water and vinegar steam
Lemon Ricotta Pancakes with Blueberry Topping
Now, the bread I’ve been making for the past few months, but this is the first time this year. It is DELICIOUS! And EASY! I forgot to take pictures after I made the loaves, but this looks much prettier than just a shot from the top. I made three different kinds: plain; cranberry, orange, almond; and jalapeno cheese (not pictured). The jalapeno cheese was a big hit, so I didn’t actually get to bring any home. Or try it. It’s ok, I’ve still got jalapenos and cheese…
I also made Sonoma Chicken Salad for our 7 1/2 hour drive to Olivia, MN. I also forgot to take a picture. But let me tell you, it was also damn delicious.
I’ve got some really exciting things coming up for this week and I can’t wait to share with you! So, until next week, Pin away!
