Falling for you

5 Oct

It’s a sure sign fall is here when you step out your front door and the crisp, cool air has you turning around and grabbing a jacket.  I love that crisp, cool air.  The skeletons of the trees are showing, the brilliant leaves are falling and there’s nothing better than fall fruits and vegetables.  And turning on the oven!  I LOVE cooking and baking in the fall.  There’s nothing better than a yummy apple dessert baking in the oven, filling the whole house with delicious cinnamon smells!

This week I’ve made some good dinners and dessert.  Irish beef stew, apple crisp (which we ate all of in one sitting – don’t worry, it was a small dish!), garlic rosemary chicken, and blueberry pie bars.  The Irish beef stew took 5 hours in the oven and made the house smell homey.  That reminds-me-of-grandma’s-house smell.  It was wonderful!

I also love watching Gilmore Girls in the fall.  There’s nothing better than watching endless episodes of this fabulous show and crafting.  Most of the time I don’t even watch the show, but just listen and I know exactly what’s going on.  It’s THAT good!  If you’ve never seen an episode, I highly recommend it.  I can also get you other references.  I know people.

I recently found this fantastic idea for some maple leaf roses.  I think this is my days activity.  At least my fun activity…there’s also laundry and dishes and bathrooms to be cleaned.  Well, we’ll see what happens.

Happy Friday!
