I’m still here!

26 Jun

Hello again!  I’m still here!  The last few weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind.  We’ve been staying in many places and are finally mostly settled in at our new house.  Some highlights of the past few weeks…

  • We got to stay with Eric’s family for a couple of weeks until we could move into our house.  It was great to stay with family and get to know them more!  We’re not far from them or my parents and I hope we get to see them on a more regular basis.
  • We moved into our new house!  It’s huge!!  There’s actually more space than we know what to do with right now.  But we’re working our way through ideas.  We’ve unpacked most of our stuff, but there are still a few boxes without a home.
  • Eric’s family came down for Father’s day and got a tour of camp.  It was fun to host a nice lunch and show off camp.
  • We were in Dubuque, IA for a family reunion on my mom’s side.  There were about 130 of us there, my family made up 75 of those people.  Yeah, we’re awesome! 🙂
  • Eric started his new job yesterday.  He’s so excited about it and I love hearing all the things he gets to do.  We’re very blessed to be where we are!
  • We got internet!  We’ve had limited internet over the past weeks and we’re finally up and running again!  It’s amazing how dependent we are on our technology.  And I can finally pin again!  Working on getting satellite TV today.

Now we’re onto the fun stuff of living in a new house.  We get to put our own personal touches into the house.  On the docket: taking down wallpaper and borders, painting, decorating, and getting furniture.  But we I have to remember one thing at a time.  First up, removing wallpaper.  I better get a move on!

Hey Jenni – so where do you live now? Are you working some where too? What’s Eric doing? Lots of questions and I miss you!
